How Blindspot Works collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
This policy explains what personal data Blindspot Works collects, how it is used, and your rights as a visitor or client. Blindspot Works is a sole trader business operated by Pieter K de Villiers, based in the United Kingdom.
1. What data we collect and why
Website contact and booking forms
When you submit a contact or booking form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on it.
Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Email marketing (Go High Level)
If you book a call, complete the assessment, or request content from this site, your name and email address are added to our CRM system (Go High Level). We use this to send you relevant emails about our services and content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Legal basis: legitimate interests / consent (where obtained at point of data collection).
Value Leak Assessment (Scoreapp)
If you complete the Value Leak Assessment, Scoreapp collects your name, email address, and your responses to the assessment questions. This data is used to generate your personalised results and to follow up with relevant content. Scoreapp's own privacy policy applies to their platform. We receive your results and contact details via Scoreapp's integration.
Legal basis: consent (given at point of assessment completion).
Website chatbot
The chatbot on this site is hosted by a third-party provider. If you interact with the chatbot, your conversation may be stored to improve the service. We do not use chatbot conversations for marketing purposes.
Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Analytics (Checkanalytic)
We use Checkanalytic to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors. Analytics are only loaded if you have given cookie consent.

2. Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:

Required for the site to function. These are set automatically and do not require your consent.
Analytics cookies
Set by Checkanalytic to help us understand how the site is used. These are only set if you click "Accept All" on the cookie banner.

3. How long we keep your data
- Contact form enquiries — up to 2 years, or until the enquiry is resolved.
- CRM records (Go High Level) — as long as you remain a contact or client, or until you unsubscribe and request removal.
- Assessment results — held by Scoreapp in accordance with their data retention policy.
- Analytics data — aggregated data is retained for up to 26 months.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We use the following third-party services that may process your data as part of delivering our service:
- Go High Level (CRM and email marketing) — USA, with EU standard contractual clauses in place.
- Scoreapp (assessment platform) — subject to their own privacy policy.
- Checkanalytic (website analytics).
- Heroku (chatbot hosting) — USA, Salesforce company.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
